Clear Channel Outdoor Launches Its First Indoor Digital Billboard Network

Chicago O'Hare International Airport to House Digital Billboard Network Reaching Elite Business Travelers Through LED Displays

PHOENIX--(BUSINESS WIRE)--

Clear Channel Outdoor (NYSE:CCO) announced today that it has launched its first indoor digital billboard network at Chicago's O'Hare International Airport, strengthening its leadership in the digital out-of-home advertising business.

Eight 6'x 8' LED (light emitting displays) units will feature 10-second spots, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week throughout the United Airlines B and C Concourses. The displays are manufactured by Newton Technologies.

"On the heels of the tremendous success we've experienced with our outdoor, digital billboard networks, moving our digital network indoors is the next, natural step for these next-generation displays," said Paul Meyer, Global President of Clear Channel Outdoor.

Clear Channel Outdoor's airport operations deliver an extremely desirable consumer base to advertisers, especially elite business travelers. These frequent fliers have high personal income, discretionary buying power and the greatest influence on business purchase decisions. In fact, according to research from Mendelsohn's Affluent Study:

-- Between 45% and 55% of all airline passengers are traveling
        for business

    -- 26% have post-graduate degrees

    -- 75% have household income between $100,000 and $300,000

-- Nearly 4 of 5 are C-level executives (13.1% are at the CEO
        level)

"With digital billboards in airports, we are reaching a captive audience with exceptional buying power in a unique, entertaining way," said Michael Riley, President of Clear Channel Airports. "Clear Channel Airports reaches six out of ten business travelers, and these displays will only enhance our ability to deliver this affluent, hard-to-reach target audience in a controlled environment with little waste of the advertising dollar."

O'Hare International Airport, one of the world's busiest airports, serves as the largest hub to United Airlines and the second largest to American Airlines. O'Hare was named the Best Airport in North America by readers of the U.S. Edition of Business Traveler Magazine in 2003 for the sixth year in row.
