Clear Channel Outdoor UK and Spectrum Interactive plc Conclude Exclusive Media Agreement

The market leading outdoor advertising company, Clear Channel Outdoor UK, has concluded a long-term exclusive media agreement with Spectrum Interactive plc.

Under the terms of the agreement Clear Channel has acquired the exclusive rights to sell media on Spectrum's public phone box estate, most of which is positioned in city centre locations with the concentration of sites within the M25. Clear Channel will inherit the current media business and will market the sites under the "Clear Channel Connect" brand throughout the UK.

Commenting on the deal, Mark Lewarne, Chief Executive of Spectrum, said: "We are exceptionally pleased to have concluded this agreement with Clear Channel who are a world class company and a clear market leader in outdoor advertising. We have worked very hard to establish a solid media business over the last few years and believe now is the right time to partner with Clear Channel who are experts in this field and have the infrastructure in place to exploit the value of the estate."

Barry Sayer, CEO of Clear Channel Outdoor UK, expressed his delight at the opportunity to work with so flexible and dynamic a private enterprise company as Spectrum Interactive in the further development of a medium so familiar to Clear Channel and in which the company has considerable sales and operational experience.
