Clear Channel Spectacolor Rallies Support for Christy Turlington Burns' "Every Mother Counts"
Maternal Health Organization Utilizes SpectacolorHD Digital Billboard to Raise Awareness, Educate and Incite Action in Times Square

Instead of the requisite gift of flowers, Every Mother Counts is inviting people to take action by giving their time, their voice and a donation to their cause - to improve maternal health worldwide and reduce maternal mortality by three-fourths by 2015. In order to bring mainstream attention to such health issues, Clear Channel Spectacolor has donated time on its SpectacolorHD digital billboard to air Every Mother Counts' newly released public service announcement (PSA). The PSA highlights how up to 15 percent of all women who give birth suffer complications that could be life-threatening but which can, in most cases, be treated if care is available. Simultaneous to the release of the PSA, Every Mother Counts is promoting a documentary film produced and directed by Turlington Burns called "No Woman No Cry." Its broadcast premiere will be on Oprah Winfrey's OWN Network at 9:30 ET/PT on Saturday, May 7th. Moreover, music inspired by the film - by the likes of Madonna, Gwyneth Paltrow, Rosanne Cash, the Dixie Chicks, Sinead O'Connor, Jennifer Lopez, Martha Wainwright, and others - can be found on the "Every Mother Counts" CD for sale at select U.S. and Canada Starbucks stores. Clear Channel's SpectacolorHD display is a powerful out-of-home (OOH) platform that captures the attention of more than 500,000 people daily in Times Square.
