Clear Channel Outdoor Renews Long-Term Contract to Provide Outdoor Advertising for City of Helsinki
PHOENIX--(BUSINESS WIRE)--
Clear Channel Outdoor, the world's leading outdoor advertising company, has been selected by the city of Helsinki, Finland's capital, to provide multiple outdoor advertising formats, including street furniture, advertising pillars, billboards and digital screens.
This contract represents the second largest outdoor contract in the Nordic region and includes some 1,600 advertising structures and 5,000 advertising faces at premium city center locations throughout Helsinki. It follows Clear Channel Outdoor's renewal of the Stockholm transit contract, the largest outdoor contract in the region, in 2007.

"Our renewed relationship with the City of Helsinki allows us to broaden the portfolio of exciting branding solutions we can offer to advertisers in that area."
Clear Channel Finland's General Manager, Timo Tammi, said: "As the newly appointed outdoor advertising partner of the City of Helsinki, Clear Channel Outdoor is looking forward to developing multiple outdoor formats, including digital, which will create flexible and tailored advertising solutions for advertisers and visibly renew the streetscape of Helsinki."
Clear Channel Outdoor was selected for the exclusive advertising rights following a thorough review process that included both local and international competitors, including the incumbent outdoor advertising company, JCDecaux.
Mr Sademies, of City of Helsinki, explained: "Clear Channel Outdoor demonstrated the ability and commitment to deliver high quality advertising products with world class maintenance and operations capability. We very much look forward to developing our partnership."
